India vs Pakistan: The final decision ( Decision ) regarding the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup match has been made. Pakistani team instructed to take the field
The India vs Pakistan match is scheduled to be played on February 15th in the T20 World Cup 2026. Following requests from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, Pakistan has withdrawn its decision to boycott the T20 World Cup match against India. This information has been given citing Pakistani government sources. The Pakistani government has instructed the Pakistan cricket team to take the field for the T20 World Cup match against India on February 15th.
ICC will not take action against Bangladesh either
Meanwhile, after the meeting between the ICC and PCB, it has also been announced that Bangladesh will be spared. The ICC has clarified that no action will be taken against the Bangladesh team even after they withdrew from the T20 World Cup. They will neither be banned nor will any penalty be imposed. Bangladesh will also be given the opportunity to host an ICC event soon.
Team India had already planned to go to Colombo
Pakistan will soon make an official announcement. The Indian team had already said that their tickets to Colombo were booked and they were going to play the match against Pakistan on February 15th. All the obstacles regarding this match have now been removed. The Pakistani team is currently in Colombo. The team will play its second match against the USA on February 10th.
