Delhi: The Indian A team defeated South Africa A by four wickets in the first unofficial ODI. Ruturaj Gaikwad played a strong game for India and emerged as the team’s biggest match-winner. He scored a brilliant century and became the hero of the team’s victory. South Africa A batted first and scored 285 runs. India easily achieved the target. ( target.)

For the Indian team, the opening pair of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Abhishek Sharma laid the foundation for victory by sharing a 64-run partnership for the first wicket. Abhishek was dismissed for 31. Ruturaj remained at one end of the crease and batted well. He scored 117 runs from 129 balls, including 12 fours. Captain Tilak Varma also scored 39 runs. Nitish Kumar Reddy contributed 37 runs. Thanks to these players, the Indian A team easily achieved the target in 49.3 overs.

Three batsmen scored half-centuries for South Africa
Earlier, none of the top-order batsmen performed well for South Africa A. The team lost five wickets for just 55 runs. It seemed that South Africa A would be restricted to a very low score. However, Delano Potgieter then played an innings of 90 runs, hitting 10 fours and a six in his innings. Bjorn Fortuin also contributed 59 runs. Dian Forrester also played an innings of 77 runs. These players helped the team reach a respectable total of 285 runs. For India, Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana took two wickets each.

The second ODI will be held on November 16th.
The India A team has taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series after winning the first match. The second ODI between the two teams will be played on November 16th at the Niranjan Shah Cricket Stadium in Rajkot. The third ODI will be played on November 19th.
