ICC Hall of Fame announced  (CC Hall )

Mahendra Singh Dhoni: International Cricket Council i.e. ICC, the apex body of cricket, has included former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the ICC Hall  (CC Hall ) of Fame. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the 11th Indian cricketer to be included in the ICC Hall of Fame. Before Dhoni, Bishan Singh Bedi, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Anil Kumble, Sachin Tendulkar, Vinoo Mankad, Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid, Neetu David and Diana Edulji have been included in the ICC Hall of Fame.

Under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Team India captured three ICC trophies. As captain, Dhoni won the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy. He is the first captain in the world to win three different ICC trophies. Dhoni is counted among the most successful captains not only in India but in the world.

On being inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame, former Indian captain Dhoni said that this honor will always be with him. He said that it is an honor to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame, which recognizes the contribution of cricketers from different generations and around the world. It is an amazing feeling to have your name remembered alongside such all-time greats. This is something he will always cherish.

Played last international match in 2019

Dhoni played 350 ODIs for India, scoring 10773 runs at an average of 50.57. During this, he also scored 10 centuries and 73 half-centuries. He also played 90 Test matches, in which his average was more than 38. He scored 4876 runs in Tests with 6 centuries. He played his last international match against New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup semi-final and then said goodbye to international cricket in August 2020 the following year.

Apart from Dhoni, Australia’s legendary batsman Matthew Hayden, former New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori, former South African cricketer Hashim Amla and Graeme Smith have also been inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame. This year, a total of five male and two female cricketers have been inducted into this prestigious list. Apart from these five male cricketers, England’s legendary Sarah Taylor and Pakistan’s Sana Mir have also been inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame. It is worth noting that the ICC Hall of Fame recognizes the achievements of cricket’s great players. It was started in the year 2009, since then 122 players have been inducted into it.
