IPL: The 42nd league match of the 19th season of the Indian Premier League was played between Gujarat      ( Gujarat )  Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, a contest that the Gujarat Titans successfully won by 4 wickets. Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill elected to bowl first after winning the toss in this match. Batting first, the RCB team was bundled out for a total of 155 runs in 19.2 overs. For RCB, Devdutt Padikkal was the top scorer with an innings of 40 runs, while Virat Kohli contributed 28 runs with the bat. In the bowling department for Gujarat Titans, 28-year-old Arshad Khan delivered a stellar performance, successfully claiming three wickets; additionally, Jason Holder and Rashid Khan took two wickets each, while Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada managed to secure one wicket apiece.

Setting out to chase the target, the Gujarat Titans were given a brisk start by the opening pair of Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, who forged a 42-run partnership for the first wicket. Sudharsan returned to the pavilion after scoring 6 runs, following which Shubman Gill also lost his wicket after reaching a personal score of 43. From this juncture, Jos Buttler maintained the momentum of the scoring rate, playing a quickfire innings of 39 runs off just 19 balls. At one stage in the match, the Gujarat Titans had lost 5 wickets with the score standing at 111. From there, Rahul Tewatia and Jason Holder sealed the team’s victory by stitching together a 36-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Holder contributed a knock of 12 runs with the bat in this match, while Rahul Tewatia played an unbeaten innings of 27 runs, guiding GT to victory before returning to the pavilion. On the bowling front for RCB, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the top wicket-taker with three wickets, while Romario Shepherd claimed two and Suyash Sharma took one.
