Gill played a brilliant unbeaten century(Gill played ) 

India vs Bangladesh: Indian cricket team has made a great start in ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Team India defeated Bangladesh by 6 wickets in the match played in Dubai and started their campaign with a brilliant win in the Champions Trophy. Young opener Shubman Gill played (Gill played )   an important role in India’s victory. Gill played a brilliant innings and did the great feat of scoring a century for India in the second consecutive ODI match. Gill scored the 8th century of his ODI career. He completed his century in 125 balls with the help of 9 fours and 2 sixes. Earlier, Gill also scored a century in the third match of the ODI series against England.

Shami did wonders in bowling

Bangladesh team, who won the toss and came out to bat first in the match, had a very disappointing start. 5 batsmen of the team returned to the pavilion within just 35 runs. After this, there was a record partnership of 154 runs for the sixth wicket between Jaker Ali and Tauheed Hridoy, due to which Bangladesh team managed to score 228 runs. Jaker Ali played an innings of 68 runs. Whereas, Tauheed Hridoy scored 100 runs. Mohammad Shami hunted 5 batsmen and made a world record of completing 200 wickets in the least number of balls in ODI. He broke Mitchell Starc’s record of taking 200 wickets in the least number of balls.

Gill returned unbeaten after scoring a century

In response to Bangladesh’s 228 runs, India’s start was excellent. Team India scored 69 runs on the scoreboard after losing 1 wicket in 10 overs. Rohit Sharma was out after scoring 41 runs. After this Virat Kohli came to the crease, who returned to the pavilion after scoring just 22 runs. In the middle order, Shreyas Iyer (15) and Axar Patel (8) could not do much and were out cheaply. During this, Gill stood firm at the other end and then along with KL Rahul, made a partnership of 87 runs and gave Team India the victory. KL Rahul played an unbeaten innings of 41 runs. KL hit 1 four and 2 sixes in his innings. Gill returned unbeaten after scoring 101 runs in 129 balls. With this win, Team India has got 2 points in its account. Now Team India will face Pakistan in its second match. This match will be played in Dubai on 23 February.
