Jhunjhunu: Giving a controversial statement in a public meeting organised in protest against the inclusion of Gram Panchayat Adukka of Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan in Chirawa Municipality has proved costly for the former Sarpanch. Former Sarpanch of Adukka, Mohanlal, (Mohanlal who threatened to murder during the public meeting, has been arrested by Chirawa Police.
What is the whole matter?
According to the information, on April 2, a public meeting was organised in Bapu Bazar of Chirawa city in protest against the inclusion of Gram Panchayat Adukka in Chirawa Municipality. During this, while giving a speech from the stage, former Sarpanch Mohanlal used extremely objectionable and violent language.
His statement was not only controversial, but he also threatened to “murder” and block the road by a community of the village itself to those who advocated the merger in the municipality. This entire incident went viral on social media very fast. In the viral video, Mohanlal can be clearly seen and heard using threatening words from the open stage.
After the video went viral, the Chidawa police took immediate cognizance of the matter taking it seriously. After interrogation, the police arrested the former sarpanch for disturbing the peace.
According to the Chidawa police station in-charge, the matter is sensitive and such language from a public platform is considered to spread tension in the society. Local people have also condemned such statements and demanded that public forums should be used for peace and solution, not for provocation and threats of violence.
