When is the election in Maharashtra?

The Election Commission has announced the dates for the Maharashtra assembly elections. Elections will be held in Maharashtra on November 20 and counting of votes will be done on November 23. Elections will be held in Maharashtra in a single phase.

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar had said that there will be 9 crore 63 lakh voters in Maharashtra. There are 5 crore male voters here. Votes will be cast at one lakh polling booths here. There will be about 960 voters at every booth in Maharashtra. Polling booths have been increased in Mumbai.

MNS had recently released the list

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) had also recently announced candidates for 45 seats for the Maharashtra assembly elections. Raj Thackeray’s son Amit has also been made a candidate in this election. Amit Thackeray was made a candidate from Mahim. This was the second list of MNS.

Let us tell you that Raj Thackeray formed Maharashtra Navnirman Sena after separating from Shiv Sena. In the 2009 assembly elections, 13 candidates from Raj’s party won the elections and became MLAs. But since then the party’s performance has been continuously deteriorating. Talking about the present time, MNS has only one MLA. In such a situation, Raj Thackeray is fielding candidates in this election after careful consideration. It remains to be seen how many seats MNS wins in this election. Let us tell you here that Raj Thackeray does politics like his late uncle Balasaheb Thackeray. He himself tries to become a kingmaker without contesting elections. Bala Saheb’s son Uddhav Thackeray and Uddhav’s son Aditya Thackeray are in active politics.
