Dharamshala: In the third match of the T20 series played in Dharamshala, Team India defeated South Africa by 7 wickets. With this win, Team India has taken a 2-1 lead ( 2-1 lead) in this five-match series. Every player, from bowlers to batsmen, played a crucial role in Team India’s victory. In this match, South Africa, batting first, set a target of 118 runs for India. Team India achieved this target in 15.5 overs with 7 wickets remaining.
Aiden Markram scored a half-century for South Africa
After losing the toss and batting first, South Africa had a very poor start in this match. South Africa lost their first three wickets for just seven runs. Opening batsman Reeza Hendricks failed to score a single run. Eight players, including Quinton de Kock (1) and Dewald Brevis (2), failed to reach double figures. Captain Aiden Markram led from the front, scoring a half-century. He scored 61 runs off 46 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes. Donovan Ferreira contributed 20 runs and Anrich Nortje added 12 runs. For India, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, and Varun Chakravarthy took two wickets each. Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube took one wicket each.
Abhishek Sharma played a blistering innings for India
Chasing a target of 118 runs, Team India got a brilliant start from Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill. The two shared a 60-run partnership for the first wicket. Abhishek Sharma played a blistering innings in this match. He was dismissed after scoring 35 runs off 18 balls with the help of three fours and three sixes. After his wicket fell, Tilak Varma came in to bat at number 3. Shubman Gill was dismissed after scoring 28 runs at a strike rate of 100. Suryakumar Yadav scored 12 runs off 11 balls. Tilak Varma remained unbeaten on 25 runs, and Shivam Dube was also not out on 10 runs. For South Africa, Lungi Ngidi, Marco Jansen, and Corbin Bosch took one wicket each.
