Four players accused of affecting the integrity of the game  ( players) 

Assam: The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the biggest T20 tournAssam team showed extremely poor performance in the group stageament in Indian domestic cricket, is currently underway, and after the completion of the group stage matches, the Super League stage matches have now begun. Meanwhile, the Assam Cricket Association has decided to suspend four of its players for allegedly attempting to influence the integrity of the game during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 matches. These four players    ( players)  were accused of influencing other team members during matches played in Lucknow, and considering the seriousness of the allegations, an investigation was launched.

All four players will remain away from the field until a decision is reached in the case
Following the allegations against the four Assam cricket team players, Amit Sinha, Ishan Ahmed, Aman Tripathi, and Abhishek Thakuri, the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit conducted an investigation, which revealed that they had attempted to take steps that would affect the integrity of the game. When the entire matter reached the Assam Cricket Association, they decided to take legal action and filed an FIR with the Crime Branch in Guwahati on December 12. In a statement issued by the Assam Cricket Association regarding this matter, they stated that the four players mentioned above, who have played for the Assam team at different stages, are accused of trying to influence and instigate some current players of the Assam team participating in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 held in Lucknow from November 26 to December 8.
Assam team showed extremely poor performance in the group stage
The Assam team’s journey in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 ended with the group stage matches, where they showed a very poor performance. Assam, which was part of Elite Group A, played 7 matches, winning only three and losing four. With 12 points, the Assam team finished 7th in their group’s points table. The Assam team was captained by Riyan Parag, who is also a key member of the Rajasthan Royals squad in the IPL.
