India vs. Oman: India defeated Oman by 21 runs in the final group stage match of the Asia Cup 2025. Batting first, India ( India ) scored 188 runs and set a target of 189 runs for Oman. In response, Oman’s batsmen performed brilliantly. Their team batted until the last over but could only manage 167 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Aamir Kaleem and Hammad Mirza scored half-centuries for Oman. This is Team India’s third consecutive win in this tournament. India has not lost a single match in this Asia Cup so far.
Sanju Samson scores a half-century for India
Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and decided to bat first in the match against Oman. Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill opened the innings for India, but Gill was dismissed for just 5 runs off 8 balls. This was followed by a 66-run partnership between Sanju Samson and Abhishek for the second wicket. Abhishek also batted brilliantly in this match, scoring 38 runs off 15 balls. Subsequently, Axar Patel (26) and Tilak Verma (29) both got good starts but failed to convert them into big scores. Sanju Samson was India’s highest run-scorer in this match, scoring 56 runs off 45 balls with the help of 3 fours and 3 sixes. Speaking of Oman’s bowling, Shah Faisal, Jiten Ramanandi, and Aamir Kaleem took two wickets each.

Oman got off to a good start in their chase of 189 runs. Jatinder Singh and Aamir Kaleem shared a 56-run partnership for the first wicket. Jatinder Singh was dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav after scoring 32 runs in 33 balls. After this Hammad Mirza came to bat at number three and he gave good support to Aamir Kaleem. Both of them made a partnership of 93 runs for the second wicket. India got the second success in the 18th over. In this over Harshit sent Aamir Kaleem to the pavilion. He scored 64 runs in 46 balls with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes. Hammad Mirza was dismissed after scoring 51 runs in 33 balls. Harshit, Arshdeep, Kuldeep and Hardik took one wicket each from India’s side.
