Guwahati: There is only a little time left for the start of Women’s World Cup ( World Cup ) 2025. It is jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The first match in the upcoming tournament will be played on 30 September. Now before the tournament starts, a big good news has come for cricket fans. Ticket prices for all the league matches to be held in India will start from Rs 100. With this, even middle-class families will be able to easily enjoy the matches of Women’s World Cup 2025.
Shreya Ghoshal will perform in the opening ceremony
It has been told by the ICC that Indian music icon Shreya Ghoshal will perform in the opening ceremony of the Women’s World Cup before the opening match between India and Sri Lanka in Guwahati on September 30. The ICC also said that this year’s tournament will set a new standard in terms of accessibility as ticket prices are quite low. The ICC wants the stadiums to be packed during the matches. Ticket prices for all league matches in India will start at just Rs 100 (about US$1.14).

Fans can now book tickets to watch the Women’s World Cup 2025 matches at affordable prices. A special four-day pre-sale window is available for the upcoming tournament. A total of 8 teams, including the Indian team, are participating in the Women’s World Cup 2025. These include teams from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, South Africa, Australia, England and New Zealand. The Indian women’s team will play its first match against the Sri Lankan team on 30 September.
