Mumbai registered the second win of the season(Mumbai)

Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals: Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians faced each other in the 29th match of IPL 2025. In this match played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Delhi Capitals had to face the first defeat of the season. Mumbai  (Mumbai) Indians batted first and scored 205 runs. In response, the entire team of the host Delhi collapsed on a score of 193 runs. The last 3 batsmen of Delhi were run out and thus the host team had to face the first defeat after 4 consecutive wins. At the same time, the Mumbai team was successful in registering the second win of the season. With this, the team broke the losing streak under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya. Mumbai has got its first win after 2 consecutive losses. Spinners Karn Sharma and Mitchell Santner played an important role in Mumbai’s victory. In their first home match at Arun Jaitley Stadium in IPL 2025, Delhi Capitals won the toss and decided to bowl first. Mumbai Indians took full advantage of this opportunity and scored 205 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. For Mumbai, Tilak Verma played a brilliant half-century of 59 runs in 33 balls, while Ryan Rickelton gave the team a quick start by hitting 41 runs in just 26 balls. In the last overs of the innings, Naman Dheer played a brilliant innings of 38 runs not out in 17 balls, which took Mumbai beyond 200 runs.

At one point it seemed that Mumbai’s score would not reach 200 due to wickets falling in the middle overs, but Tilak Verma and Naman Dheer’s partnership of 62 runs in 33 balls took the score to 205 runs. For Delhi Capitals, Kuldeep Yadav bowled economically and took 2 wickets for 23 runs in 4 overs. Spinner Vipraaj Nigam also got 2 wickets, but he gave away 41 runs in his four overs. Fast bowler Mitchell Starc also proved to be expensive and he gave away 43 runs in 3 overs.
