Lucknow defeated Mumbai Indiansi (Mumbai) 

Lucknow: The 16th match of the IPL 2025 season was played between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai (Mumbai)   Indians at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, in which the Lucknow team under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant won the match by 12 runs. Batting first, the Lucknow team scored 203 runs in 20 overs on the basis of half-century innings of Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram. In response, the Mumbai Indians team was able to reach a score of 191 runs in 20 overs. Lucknow team’s spin bowler Digvesh Rathi gave a great performance with the ball.

Tilak Verma became the biggest villain for Mumbai Indians

In this match, the Mumbai Indians team was expecting a better start from their opening pair, but Will Jacks lost his wicket after scoring 5 and Ryan Rickelton after scoring just 10 runs. From here, Naman Dheer and Suryakumar Yadav started scoring runs quickly along with handling the innings, in which Mumbai team lost their third wicket at a score of 86 in the form of Naman who was out after scoring 46 runs. After this, Tilak Verma, who came to bat, could not perform as expected in this match, in which Suryakumar Yadav played an innings of 67 runs in 43 balls, while Tilak was able to score only 25 runs in 23 balls.

Hardik Pandya definitely played an innings of 28 runs in 16 balls but he could not succeed in making his team win. For Lucknow, Digvesh Rathi took one wicket while giving away just 21 runs in 4 overs, apart from this Avesh Khan, Shardul Thakur and Akash Deep also took 1 wicket each.

If we talk about the batting performance of Lucknow Super Giants against Mumbai Indians, then on the basis of Mitchell Marsh’s 60 and Aiden Markram’s 53 runs, the team managed to reach a score of 203 in 20 overs. For Mumbai Indians, their captain Hardik Pandya’s amazing performance with the ball was seen in this match, who managed to take 5 wickets. With this win, Lucknow’s team has now reached the sixth position in the points table, while Mumbai Indians’ team is at the 7th position.
