Flood-affected area in Pakistan(Pakistan ) 

Islamabad: Heavy monsoon rains and sudden floods in Pakistan      (Pakistan )   since June 26 have caused havoc. Due to this flood and rain, at least 116 people have died in various areas of Pakistan so far. At the same time, 253 people have been injured during this period. This information was given by Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Tuesday. According to the latest report of NDMA, five more people died in rain-related incidents during the last 24 hours, while 41 people were injured.

East Punjab is the most affected area of Pakistan

The highest number of deaths in Pakistan has been recorded in East Punjab province, where 44 people died. This was followed by 37 deaths in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 18 in southern Sindh and 16 in southwestern Balochistan province. One death and five injuries were reported from Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, while there were no casualties in Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad Capital Territory.

NDMA issued warning

In view of the continuously deteriorating weather pattern, the NDMA has issued a weather warning, predicting more heavy rains and possible floods in parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. This rain is likely to continue till Thursday.
